An Old Peach

Haven’t patterned this peach yet, obviously, but I thought the scans were nice.

In other news, I may have semi-ruined my scanner with that old cucumber. Hmm.

Salami and other cold cuts

leave a comment »

I’ve gotten back into scanning. I’m giving food a go, at the moment. These are some cold cuts, which are unfortunately a bit older than they ought to be. I was inspired to scan them as I was thinking about throwing them away. I’ll try fruit next, which won’t stink as much…ugh.

salami
Scanned salami makes me want to stop eating meat. Gross.

Pepper Turkey
Pepper Turkey isn’t quite as intriguing as salami, but it’s just as tasty.

Pepperoni at 100%. The tile above is 10 inches wide when printed…imagine the wallpaper possibilities!!

Meat grease and handprints

Part of the problem with this stuff is that food looks really awful against a black background, especially translucent food. I don’t mind getting grease all over the glass on my scanner, but I don’t really want the grease on the nice white background bit… I need to figure out an alternative.
